Wife thinks air filters will keep her healthy, I think smoking is a problem

I think I’m about to pull my hair out any moment now.

No matter what I do, it seems like I can’t escape the continual nagging and pestering from my wife lately.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like this is really anything new in our relationship. She has always been on top of my every move, making sure that I am serving all of her needs. However, lately it seems like her obsession with indoor air quality has reached a new height of annoying ability. At some point in the past year my wife became a bit obsessive about our central heating, cooling, and air quality control equipment. Specifically, she started being way too concerned about our indoor air quality and our ability to effectively filter out potential airborne contaminants. For the past year I’ve been hearing all about air filtration devices and the necessity for HEPA air filters. She constantly wants me to change out our air filtration devices and buy ever-increasingly expensive HEPA filters to remove every airborne contaminant on the planet. This is as expensive as it is annoying considering we constantly have new air filters showing up at our house and new HVAC appointments on the calendar. Now don’t get me wrong, I agree that air quality is probably important to overall health. I’m sure it plays a big part in immune function and respiratory health overall. However, I think that if she is actually concerned about our air quality to the extent of purchasing new air handling equipment… She should probably consider quitting smoking.
