Several weeks ago, my husband and I decided that we wanted to completely redo the HVAC system in an old home that we had purchased.
We had been living there for about a month before we decided that the whole system that we had before just needed to go. Nothing was working right. From the ancient thermostat unit to the old gas furnace, nothing seemed to be doing what it was supposed to be doing. The temperature settings would never stay where we set them, and the house never got as warm as it should have. Now that the winter is coming and the weather around here is really cooling off outside, I am concerned that we are going to have a lot of issues if we don’t get the HVAC system updated completely. The house that we are living in is really old and so it doesn’t really have very good insulation anyway. We have noticed that there are cracks and gaps in the doors, windows, and walls. I personally think that we need to have the whole place reinsulated as well, but at this point, we have decided that we are just going to focus on finding a new HVAC specialist here in Roselle, IL. I found out about several different HVAC companies that are supposed to be pretty good, but I made an appointment with an HVAC specialist that has super good customer ratings. I know that it gets really cold and snowy in Roselle, IL during the winter, so I hope that the HVAC specialists are all that they are cracked up to be!
