Making music at the heating dealership

Well, our band now has a place to practice inside when the weather is not agreeing with us.

  • Sometimes we want to play outside but it is either too cold or too rainy out to play.

Today is one of those days as it looks like we are going to have a rainy one once again, so we will probably migrate to the shop and play inside there in the basement where we can make as much racket as we want. The good thing about these basements is they are soundproof and cool, so practicing in the natural climate control of the underground room is good. The only people that can hear some noise are the people above us in the HVAC store, but when we practice in the evening the place is closed and nobody can hear anything. We can crank our sound system up to 10 and nobody can hear it. We’ve even played when the HVAC business was open and the customers nor the HVAC workers were bothered by us. The only drawback to playing in that place is we usually have no audience, unless some people come to watch us practice. The cooling rep told me a few times when she was working at the heating dealership she found some people peering in the basement windows trying to get a glimpse of us playing. We don’t mind them watching but would rather them not record us because some of the songs are new and will be going on our new album. Anyway, off to clean the furnace filter in my flat.
