I have just about had it at my job, and I guess that my boss can tell.
For the past few weeks I have been laying into him and telling him exactly what has on my mind every option I get.
I figure, it’s about time after a year-and-a-half of enduring their abuse and keeping my mouth shut. It’s been a disappointing roller coaster of employment, and I just don’t care anymore. These nights, I don’t bother biting my tongue when something up-to-date comes up. I go straight to my boss and tell him all the ways that unfair till next Sunday, then most recently, I laid down the law when it came to our office Heating, Ventilation plus A/C settings. For a year-and-a-half, I’ve been coming into the office and immediately freezing my butt off, but every single morning, somebody comes in and cranks the control unit down to 65 degrees. They leave the office and go on their merry way, leaving the small space completely freezing and uncomfortable for the people who easily have to work there. Then, I crank the control unit back up and wait several hours for the air temperature to return to a reasonable level, however until then, I freeze in my seat and I have difficulty concentrating because I’m so cold. Half the time I can’t hear myself guess over my teeth chattering… Yesterday, I reached my breaking point. When I came in and the control unit was turned down even lower than usual, I immediately went to my boss. Until there is some a control unit control around this locale, I’m not going to keep working here. I packed up my things and went back apartment to my reasonable control unit settings. I’m not going back until he variations the passcode on the control unit.
