I’m the first person to admit that I think all of these company loyalty programs are getting a bit out of hand.
These days, you can declare your loyalty to just about any brand on Earth and supposedly you get some kind of benefit in return.
I’m absolutely blown away by how many strange customer appreciation programs have popped up in the past year. But, I am also here to tell you that there’s one in particular loyalty program that has always served me very well. I will always sign up to become a member of my favorite hotel chains because time and time again it has resulted in lower hotel fees and upgraded amenities. In particular, I can always rely on advanced air temperature control in my hotel as a member of their loyalty program. If you’re anything like me, you can’t settle for any bed to sleep in. I require a certain set of conditions, starting with the indoor air quality. In order for me to get a fitful night of sleep I absolutely need a powerful air conditioning system to pump ice cold air into my sleeping space. As you can imagine, it’s kind of a crapshoot what kind of heating and cooling device you will get when you check into a hotel. Even if you look online and try to research their mini split ductless heating and cooling systems, it’s unlikely that you’re going to find specific information on the cooling power of their air quality control devices. In the past, I wound up with a lot of sweltering, stagnant hotel rooms that ruined my vacations and business trips. These days, I simply sign up for the hotel loyalty program and request an upgraded HVAC system when I’m checking in. Sure, it’s exhausting to be loyal to every single Hotel chain… But at least I know what to expect when it comes to the cooling system.
