My sibling is having a bit of renter’s trouble.
Within the past few months he has had a few technical problems with his humidifier & he just can’t seem to find out what’s wrong… She’s lived in his location for almost a year & up until the Summer seasons has never had an issue with the humidifier. During the colder seasons he stated he had only ever emptied the water collector tote a few times. Now that the weather is getting hotter though, he is having to empty the tote once even twice a afternoon. To make things worse, the humidifier doesn’t shut off once the tote is filled so sometimes my sibling comes apartment to find a small flood happening in his closet where the humidifier is stored. At first he figured it was just because the fan level on the humidifier was too high. It has been a week of his turning the system down to the lowest capacity & he is still having problems with the tote overflowing. When I asked his why the humidifier was there in the first pace he stated that the previous renters complained about mold & so to make sure that wouldn’t occur the proprietors installed the humidifier. She is going to try turning the humidifier off completely when he is not apartment to see if that will help, however, if it does not he is going to have to call the proprietors & schedule a repair or upgradement because he just can’t afford to come apartment to his belongings being ruined because of an accidental leakage from the container.
