A current motor, or a current unit

During an emergency you are forced to make quick decisions plus face the consequences later.

Periodically these are wise choices plus sometimes we regret them.

These types of abrupt decisions sometimes come into play in non-emergency situations too. When our a/c needed the blower motor upgraded we were faced with the choice of paying the actually high service bill or simply buying a whole current unit. The motor was no longer under warranty so we knew that we would be responsible for the part and all the labor to service the problem. The cost of this service was over a thousand dollars plus the upgradement cost, thanks to a special our company was running, was just under two thousand. My associate and I weighed the possibilities carefully including the savings on energy bills that we would see with the current unit. After careful consideration we decided to simply install the current one. Even though the out of pocket expense was more we also realized that the current unit would be under warranty for the next five years too. This meant that we would save on any service plus even get a discount on our service calls. In the long run, the current system would pay for itself plus we would be better off too. My associate and I even looked into tax incentives plus found that we could get a small credit there as well. This only goes to prove that sometimes a bit of extra cash spent will save you cash down the line. Always make sure to get all the facts before making a decision of your own.
